Consider These Five Excellent Improvements to the 2018 Ford F-150

Whether you’re looking for a hardy truck, or the best-in-class, the 2018 Ford F-150 will deliver it at every level. Hot off its mid-cycle refresh, the Blue Oval is adding a turbodiesel V6 to the roster next spring, along with upgrades to the power, efficiency, and transmission of practically every model. In short, there’s an improvement for everyone.

The 2017 trucks debuted a twin-turbo V6 with best-in-class torque and towing, and a ten-speed automatic transmission. That transmission is now standard on all the other engines except the base, while the twin-turbo’s tow rating rises to 13,200 lbs. The base engine, an all-new 3.3-liter V6, boasts more power and better efficiency, and comes with a six-speed automatic. Moving up to the popular 2.7-liter EcoBoost, and drivers will find 400 lb-ft of torque. The same can be found in the upgraded V8, which retains class-leading payload.

Between its class-topping offerings and emphasis on delivering power without sacrificing efficiency, reviewers are lauding the 2018 F-150’s improvements. Will you? Find out when the truck arrives this fall, and schedule a test drive with our Ford dealership in Chula Vista, CA.
