Make your next vacation memorable in a new Ford Expedition. This newly redesigned large SUV from Ford makes travel for up to eight passengers comfortable, and keeps everyone entertained in the process as well. Integrated grab handles and one-touch second-row seat releases, along with optional automatic side-steps, help getting into the third row. Second-row seats, which provide plenty of room for two to three passengers, both slide and recline. Plus, they can be tilted forward, even with a car-seat installed (so long as no children are present in said seat)! What's more, the center seat in the second row moves forward independently, giving parents easier access to their small children.

Ford Expedition Interior Accommodations

The new Expedition contains 21 cubic feet of luggage space, or 104.6 cubic feet with the third and second rows down. The long wheelbase Expedition Max, in contrast, has 36 cubic feet behind the third row alone, making it the ideal choice for long trips if you're bringing lots of luggage.

The new Ford Expedition also features niceties like a lockable center console - especially handy for storing valuables while on the road. Meanwhile, dual glove boxes and a copious amount of storage bins throughout the cabin help in storing any other necessary items like maps, restaurant brochures, or accessories to electronics. Five child seat latch points make securing youngsters easier than ever, while 15 cup holders ensure that no passenger goes thirsty.

Expedition Power

Ford's largest SUV is available with two EcoBoost V6 engines. The first is a 3.5-L V6 that makes 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Step up to the Expedition Platinum, though, and you'll enjoy 400 horsepower and. 480 lb-ft of torque. Regardless of which engine you get, it will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. All told, the Expedition's EPA-estimated gas mileage clocks in at an impressive 17 MPG city/25 MPG highway. That means less trips to refuel.

Planning to tow a trailer? The Expedition is capable of towing up to 9,300 pounds. Plus, if you opt for the heavy-duty towing package with pro-trailer backup assist, you'll be be a towing pro in next to no time, thanks to this package's intuitive knob-controlled steering feature.
